I got my hands on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold , and here’s my first impression.
Q: 1. Design
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with a design similar to its predecessor, but with some slight improvements.
The display now folds over twice instead of once, making it easier to use while folded. There is a small notch at the top of the screen where the front camera sits, but it’s not noticeable unless you look closely.
The phone feels sturdy and durable, and I didn’t notice any creases or scratches after using it for several days.
Q: 2. Display
The 6.7-inch Infinity FlexDisplay is still a great option if you want a big screen without having to compromise on battery size.
Its resolution is 2,880 x 1,440 pixels, which means you get a pixel density of 538ppi. You can adjust the brightness and color temperature of the display, which makes it ideal for watching movies, playing games, and browsing the web.
Q: 3. Camera
The rear camera is 8MP, and the front camera is 10MP. Both cameras have autofocus and face detection features, and they work well in good lighting conditions.
However, selfies taken in low-light environments were grainy and had a lot of noise.
Q: 4. Battery Life
I was able to get about two days of moderate usage out of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 before needing to charge it again.
That’s pretty impressive considering how much power it packs under the hood.
Q: 5. Software
Android 9 Pie runs smoothly on the Galaxy Z Fold 4, and there are no bloatware apps preinstalled.
Samsung’s One UI interface is clean and simple, and it doesn’t slow down the device.
Q: 6. Speakers
There are stereo speakers on either side of the Galaxy Z Fold, and they sound surprisingly loud for their size.
They aren’t particularly powerful, though, and don’t produce deep bass sounds.
Q: 7. Price
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 costs $1,980, which is expensive compared to other foldable phones.
But if you need a big screen without compromising on battery size, then this is the best option right now.
